Two A/C carried out special mission to Mergui area. Nil results.

Two A/C carried out special mission to Moulmein & Rangoon areas. Results obtained.

Two A/C carried out special mission to Rangoon area. Nil results.

21/22.5.44 Ngt.

Two A/C set out for special mission in Bassein, Prome, and Mandalay areas. One A/C which obtained results, ran into heavy cloud and was thrown about considerably, one engine becoming U/S. The Captain decided to return to base. The other A/C continued on mission, but obtained Nil results.

No further Operations.

Both A/C were due major inspections, and with no spare A/C, and both Crews tour expired, no further operations were possible during May. Steps were taken to reinforce the Flight.
